URBAN QUILT
Berry Riverside Urban Village
Fort Worth, Texas
2013
Artwork for this community revitalization streetscape project consisted of a series of Art Panels which encapsulate colorful photographic collages. These “urban quilts”, created out of visual remnants of the surrounding community, symbolize the desire to build something new on the community values of the past when the area was a thriving community. Panels were mounted on black poles, installed on two opposite corners of the Berry Riverside Intersection. One of the objectives of the project was to work with project architects so that the artwork was integrated into the streetscape design.
7 Poles 16 ft and 18 ft. / 32 panels ranging from 12 x 30 to 24 x 48 inches
